Gift Nifty indicates a flat to negative opening as it’s trading 23 points lower at 8:13 mins in the morning.

Yesterday, Indian stock markets clocked a vertical rally in the last hour of trade on Thursday, September 12, 2024. The BSE Sensex zoomed 1,593 points or 2 percent to hit a record high of 83,116 intraday. The BSE Sensex crossed the 83,000 mark for the first time today. The Nifty50, too, soared 415 points to a lifetime high of 25,433, crossing the 25,400 level for the first time ever.

Markets gained sharply on news of China cutting rates by 50 bps on $5 trillion mortgages as soon as this month to boost consumption came out ahead of a European Central Bank (ECB) policy meeting later in the day, providing much much-needed sentimental boost to the market.

Shares of megacap tech and semiconductor names continued to rally on Thursday, boosting the market during afternoon trading. Artificial intelligence powerhouse Nvidia jumped 1.9%, while Alphabet and Facebook parent Meta Platforms each gained more than 2%. The S&P 500 gained 0.75% to close at 5,595.76, marking its fourth winning day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 235.06 points, or 0.58%, to end at 41,096.77. The Nasdaq Composite added 1%, closing at 17,569.68.

New Delhi: Indian indices touched new highs on Thursday led by a rally in commodities stocks and the Nifty Bank Index touching new highs. Investors marked a Rs 6.59 lakh crore rise in wealth on Thursday as the Sensex rose 1,439.55 points to close at 82,962.71. The NSE Nifty on Thursday closed 470.45 points higher at 25,388.90. Both benchmark indices touched new record highs during intra-day trading. Here are stocks that are likely to remain in focus on Friday, September 13, 2024:

Granules India: The company said it was actively addressing observations and resolution of issues flagged by the US drug regulator, the USFDA.

Kalpataru Projects: The company announced that it had secured projects worth Rs 2,7774 crore including an EPC project from the Airports Authority of India.

HG Infra Engineering: The company informed the exchanges that it had received an order worth Rs 716 crore from the Central Railways.

Honasa Consumer: Peak XV Partners, along with 4 other entities sold a 10 percent stake in Mamaearth parent Honasa Consumer for Rs 1,601 crore via open market transactions.

HPL Electric and Power: The company secured a Rs 143.8 crore order to provide smart meters without sharing more details.

IHCL: The Tata Group hotel company said it had signed two hotels, a Vivanta and a Ginger brand, totaling 300 keys, according to an exchange filing.

Maruti Suzuki: The company launched the S-CNG model of its hatchback Swift on Thursday.

Minda Corp: The company’s board gave its nod to raise funds via Rs 1,000 crore through share issuance and QIPs.

Patanjali Foods: The company’s units may raise $240 million via block deals, CNBCTV18 reported.

SBI Cards: The company’s board will meet on September 18, 2024, to consider a plan of raising Rs 5,000 crore via non-convertible debentures.

Tata Power: The company’s renewable energy unit inked an agreement with Tata Motors to set up 200 fast charging stations.

Thermax: The company inked a partnership agreement with Ceres to produce electrolysis cells used to produce green hydrogen.

ZEEL: The company has withdrawn its merger with Culver Max and BEPL after settling its dispute with Sony Corp.

SBI Cards :
SBI Cards announced that its board of directors will meet on September 18 to consider and approve a proposal to raise funds amounting to Rs 5,000 crore.

BPCL :
State-owned Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) approved two joint ventures aimed at supporting the company’s energy transition and net-zero initiatives.

Patanjali Foods :
Patanjali group firms are likely to raise to $240 million through block deals and the floor price at Rs 1,815, according to reports.

BLS International Services: The Company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 100% stake in Citizenship Invest (CI), a Dubai-based advisory firm for $31 million.

IFGL Refra :
Sikander Yadav has resigned as the Chief Financial Officer of the company with effect from September 12.

Tata Power :
Tata Power Renewable and Tata Motors sign a MoU to set up 200 fast-charging stations for electric CVs.
