Gift Nifty trading flat with a minor losses whereas Asian cues are trading mixed. Yesterday, Nifty 50 closed higher for a thirteenth consecutive session and recorded its longest-ever rally, led by gains in IT stocks on hopes of a U.S. rate cut and as shares of consumer goods companies rose on a prediction of good monsoon rains.
US market:
The US markets were closed today on account of Labor Day.

Stocks in news: ICICI Bank, Vedanta, HAL, Adani Green, Medi Assist Healthcare

Stocks in news: Equity markets started positively, with modest gains during a subdued session. Key focus includes ICICI Bank’s clarification on Sebi chief’s salary, Vedanta’s interim dividend, Adani Green’s $444 million joint venture, HAL’s aero-engine procurement approval, and more developments involving Gensol Engineering, Medi Assist Healthcare, and IEX’s arm ICX.

ICICI Bank:
Following allegations from the Congress party, ICICI Bank clarified that Sebi chief Madhabi Puri Buch did not receive any salary or hasn’t been granted ESOPs after the retirement.

Vedanta:
Vedanta board on Monday approved the third interim dividend of Rs 20 per equity share for the Financial Year 2024-25.

Adani Green:
Adani Green Energy said on Monday that its board has approved agreements that would enable a TotalEnergies affiliate to invest $444 million to form a new joint venture with the company.

HAL:
The cabinet committee approved a proposal for procurement of 240 aero-engines (AL-31FP) for Su-30 MKI aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) under Buy (Indian) category from Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL).

Gensol Engineering:
Gensol Engineering and Matrix Gas consortium emerges lowest bidder for the green hydrogen project worth Rs 164 crore. Under the project, Gensol-Matrix consortium will convert 25 tons of bio-waste into 1 ton of hydrogen/day.

Medi Assist: Healthcare
Bessemer India is likely to sell stock worth up to $64 million of Medi Assist Healthcare at Rs 570 per share, according to reports.
